Much better than dentures and about half the cost of Traditional Dental Implants.

Having dentures is certainly better than having missing teeth, but patients all agree that even the best dentures don’t replace the function of healthy, natural teeth.

For years, the next best thing to natural teeth was conventional dental implant therapy, which provides excellent results, but is costly.

Now, there’s a more affordable technique for permanent, non-removable teeth that are fully functional. It’s done with very little pain or discomfort in just one treatment session. Nicknamed, ‘Teeth in a Day’, this procedure has seen very high success rates on thousands of patients in Canada, the US and Europe.

This process specifically involves receiving 4 implants and having a provisional (temporary) bridge placed and secured to the 4 implants in the same day.

Dentists call this ‘All on Four’. It was studied and researched by a Prosthodontist in Portugal, and is the trademark of Nobel Biocare Implant company. It uses the latest implant technology, but instead of placing six to eight implants in each jaw, only four implants per jaw are strategically inserted to support the prosthesis. Sometimes we can use the patient’s existing denture, transforming it from a removable prosthesis into a provisional one during healing. For others, a new non-removable prosthesis is made to use on the implants. Either way, the result is reliable, natural looking teeth that stay in the mouth full time. The bridge is attached to the abutments (posts) with screws, which are in turn attached to the actual implants with screws.

You can regain your quality of life, feel confident eating in public, smiling and laughing without the fear of your dentures falling out. At about half the cost of traditional dental implants, an All-on-4 treatment may be the solution for you.

It is important to remember that at all times, a proper and comprehensive dental examination, medical history, and diagnostic records are crucial to the success of this treatment.

HOW IT’S DONE:

  • A thorough dental examination and an CBCT scan is taken, usually within your first few visits to our office.
  • Using all that information and sophisticated computer modeling, your Specialist designs an ideal tooth arrangement for you.
  • Based on our expertise and your needs, a treatment plan and implant placement guide are created.
  • When all of the advanced planning is completed, you can be scheduled for the “Teeth in a Day” procedure.
  • The surgeon will see you first thing in the morning and after placing the four implants and a brief rest period, you will arrive at our office just before noon. (It is important that someone drive you to our office.)
  • It usually takes an hour or two to modify the denture(s) and install them.
  • You walk out of the office with minimal discomfort and a beautiful new smile with your transitional bridge.
  • Following 4 – 6 months of healing, Dr. Lipkin will start the process of fabricating your permanent bridge utilizing all of the latest technology, onsite dental technicians, and decades of Prosthodontic experience.
